Hi All,

Im heading up to Sullivan lake and would like to try to catch a Pike in the Pend Oreille River. I tried about a month ago but no luck. Any suggestion on where and what to use. Any and all help will be appreciated.

Spinnerbaits, swimbaits, spoons with plastic trailers. Try weed edges and back on sloughs. Don't forget your leader either b/c I lost 30"+ pike because I didn't have a leader. With the fish went the one and only lure I had that caught the fish, but I was able to immitate and improvize. I will try and post a picture later this week. The pike are very very fiesty. The 31" pike I caught and landed I would put up against any fish as far as pound for pound for best fighter. I have caught fiesty pike before, but I think the one I caught was on roids.

I caught a nice 32 1/2" 13 lb Pike on Sunday in the P.O river north of Box Canyon Dam. On a silver spoon. I did a report, it has a pic of me with my fish, but since it was my first post-I may have messed it up. Go to the back water & slough areas, even just a "divet" area that has calm, shallow water-that's where I caught mine about 15 ftish off shore-from a boat.
