Finaly I got the monkey off my back. So far this year I have 6 fish between 5 and 6 pounds, until this last Saturday. The smaller of the two fish ran 5 lb 3 oz. The big one weighed in at 7lb 11.5oz. Also boat a 3 something and a 4 something, while losing 3 other fish, one of which I believe to be over 6. A good day.....

Thats quite impressive. You're going to have to email me the full size pic of that 4 yr ago 8lber, that looks HUGE. Man it was my first time at the lake, what am I thinking ?? hehe. No more Patterson for me, I'm driving to Yelm more often. Been meaning to ask you, do you think my 2wd van can make it out of Steilacom launch?? All I've heard is its nasty, no descriptions. TTYL.

I think if that thing had a tail it might go 6.15-and you would of had a harder fight than you did but it was awesome the way it all played out:cheers:

Good weekend of bassin topped off by these two HOGS - 8lb 4.25 oz and 7lb 14.75 oz. Caught fish on jig/pig, tubes, dropshots, Senkos, and Matt Lures Sunfish. The most memorable moment though was the one that got away. This AM I had the boat positioned perfectly against 'something' in the morning sun. The lake was like glass and some house was playing some KISW (7:00 AM mind you) Normally when I fish I prefer it to be quiet and calm, but I really enjoyed the music in this tranqil time. I was making some long casts using a Skinney Bear jig with Chiggar Craw trailer and a huge LGMTH emerged and followed it about 8 - 10 feet. I was crouching down, hoping not to scare it. It then wandered off back to its hiding spot. I switched up and threw a dropshot with an ultra dainty bait, and this big pig inches toward it. I swear it took 3 minutes. She took it with the slightest movement of her mouth and began to wander back to her layer. Great hook set, good fish and then I lost her. Oh well, probably in the 7 lb range.
