Go "cammando" on your own ground/in your own home. :-({|=
As far as barking up a tree, per say, if he did in fact plant the Lake with Dons then it is most likely a cross breed of many different cutts. Ex. Sea-run mates with a rainbow, a rainbow mates with a "lake cutt" a lake cutt mates with a "lake cutt" a kokanne mates with a "sea-run." etc...perhaps we just get different size, shapes, varities, etc. A fisheries biologist could perhaps answer all our q's. What I do know for a fact, is sea-runs put up an amazing fight, they'll jump a good 3-5 feet! out of the water...my 20" did yesterday, but a "lake cutt" can act lethargic and just pull and pout and not do anything real "exciting." This I know for a fact.

Not to jump on your back fishingmachine but you do not need to post a reply saying "sent pm please reply"

People will be notified when they get PM's and they will reply to them.

Sam,

i may speak for a couple people when i say that sometimes it is hard to notice that you have a PM because the little pop-up does not always work. (at least for me)

how weird. maybe the one with spots has more of the donaldsen gene that the others. or vise versa i never got to see a donaldsen up close enough to visually analize the features.
There are probably a lot of different gene pools in the entire Lake WA system. Cedar, Issy creek, other small creeks that run into Lake WA, etc, and they all get the same genes coming back year after year. So it is reasonable to think that there are some various genes because of the fact that there are different pools.

True, I have the same issue. The PM deal is all buggy and I sometimes to not get a popup nor the little blue "you have one message in your inbox" up on the top left either.

Sometimes saying "PM sent" will lead to the thread being completely hijacked and a conversation occurs, which is a pain because you have to scroll through it all and the thread can go the other way..

Edit: Congrats commander Zen leecher aka Bill W!!!

Thanks for saying this Sam. Fishingmachine, never do this again. It wastes space and people will see your PM eventually. I think you got it down now man. Keep the posts informative rather than instant messenging threads...

A posting from Smalma on another board:

"Nearly all the cutts in Lake Washington are lake resident fish were just the very occassional sea-run fish. The difference you noted in condition and coloration in the fish caught in March-April was likely due whether the fish had recently spawned or not. The cutthroat typcially spawn between mid-January and late May with peak spawning occurring around mid-March.

Tight lines

Curt"

Smalma (Curt) posted the above reply, in response to this post by another person: "Some of the cutts were searuns, I think. Very deep bodied and silvery color, with red orange meat. The resident cutts were slimmer and had more pronounced spotting and color".

With regards to walleye in Lake WA, here's an article from the Times on 3/13/05:

sounds like the times when ppl try and tell me there are smallmouths in lacamas lake......when they are mistaking largemouths for them. and they call me a crappy fisherman for never catching a smallmouth out of a lake with a smallmouth population of zero!

wow
