I might be game too, depending on the timing..
I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

WELL GUYS, GOING TO GET THE HALIBUT/BOTTOMFISH TRIP LOCKED IN THE 1ST WEEK OF MARCH, FOR THE 1ST WEEK IN MAY, BUT, IVE GOTTEN, AND SEEN, A NUMBER OF GUYS WANTING TO DO THE SALMON TRIP, THAT JIM L. HAD PROPOSED. RIGHT NOW THERE IS A GUIDE OUT OF EVERETT OFFERING RATES FOR BLACKMOUTH FISHING THAT ARE CRAZY ($75.00 A PERSON-2 PERSON MINIMUM). THIS MIGHT BE THE BEST SALMON DEAL. THEY HAVE BEEN LIMITING IN THE 3-12 LB. RANGE (BLACKMOUTH), WITH SOME BIG'UNS. THEY HAVE A FULL BOAT/ALL DAY DEAL ALSO FOR A GROUP OF ANGLERS. THIS IS ALMOST TO CHEAP TO PASS UP. IF THIS WILL WORK JIM, AND, ANYBODY ELSE, I'D BE OPEN TO EITHER OF THE NEXT 2 WEEK-ENDS 9OR A DAY DURING THE WEEK). LET ME KNOW, AND, I WILL MAKE THE CALL. THE GUIDE SERVICE HAS A NICE WEBSITE, NICE ROOMY BOATS, AND HAVE BEEN LIMITING, WITH ALOT OF GOOD REPORTS FROM SATISFIED CUSTOMERS.

cuthoartkiller brought up advantage charter ,we have used them for the last 13 years on a canada side halibut trip.jeff and the boys do a great job.last couple of years he had a sidekick boat, the steeler.if you want to do a good hali trip up norht then try to book a trip in june.cant beat it.somebody also brought up the canada license.as of a year or two, there is a web site that you can get you e-copy online.only if your fishing in areas 121 you can not use the e-licence.the charters do not fish in 121.i buy a yearly lincense on line.the guys that go for that weekend also buy online.will try to find the link and post it here. update, you cant use the e-licience in ares 121-1-2-3-.heres the web sitewwwpac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/recfish. or just type in search canada fishing licence.i would do a westport with the advantage if the gruop booked him.but he leaves for neah bay, so that he will be there for the may 1st opener ,us hali

That online license is great for just area 121 which the Charters use. I'd highly recommend this service to U.S. residents as Mics brought up...

I just got a new recipe for Sea Bass.Im in I think if we got a boat just for us it wouldnt cost anymore.I'll bring the pepperoni and Jerky treats.Give us advanced warning though so we can book a room in one of those nice cheesy hotels. At my age I need certain ammenities before going out fishin.Hehe
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

okay dokay, making the final calls tomorrow for the halibut/bottomfish trip. shooting for the 5th of may, with fishing the day before or the day after an extra option. there is still room. we have 7 count me ins, 2 depending on how the flowers TO THE WIFE GOES, and 3 old-timers in spokoloo that will probably be count me ins after the big horn show. most guys have said the camping is preferred, if not, pm me, and, we will check the motel rates, also. the charters start at 5:00 am, back by 1:00, then 5 or 6 hours of daylight to run for bottomfish. should have enough for 2 boats, giving everyone plenty of room. pm me if interested. i will pm everybody the cost probably on friday.
