Rats are grey - use grey. Or brown, or yellow, or white. Maybe even yellow and green, like a perch swimming across the top of the pads and mats. [biggrin]

Cant go wrong with the natural colors. I know a few guys who use the brown one up here. Id go with whatever your most confident in.

Thanks, guys. I really like rats--not real successful with them yet, but like them. "Morning Dawn" is really popular in AZ, so may get one of each! Wife is trying to get me to catch fish on what I've got before I buy new crap--where's the fun in that? Just doing my part for the economy...

Tell her the fish's taste changes. After they've been caught on a lure, they won't eat it again for a long time. They also talk to each other and tell the other fish to watch out for the 'old' lures. [blink] [biggrin]

Best rat bait is the Bettencourt. Been using them for years in the CA delta. You can wake it, crank it, dead stick it, ect.....
