I'm guessing either an Mink or an Otter. Lets not be going all X Files or anything. Lots of critters eat trout beside fishermen.
Build a man a fire and he's warm for the night. Light a man on fire and he's warm the rest of his life!

The 'Beast' they call Snagger was / is a German Brown, but this was a few years ago.

I suspect if old Snagger were still cruising the lake, he'd be big enough to inhale those tout whole.

Looking at the wounds, it makes you wonder if someone released some snapping turtles in the lake.

Just a theory and I could be wrong but that pic above looks like different photos cropped together. To me those fish jumping look more like salmon and this could be a tactic to get more people fishing the lake?
But Snagger is believed to be a large brown trout and they are aggressive fish. But like onmygame said, itd probably inhale smaller trout rather that take a bit out. I read a forum on another website that someone hooked into Snagger a few years back and got it to the boat before it snapped their 15lb line.
Its always the one that got away that make the best stories!
