Kokanee or Rain Bow

Post by knika » Sat May 21, 2016 10:16 am

When trolling and using a fish finder, how do you know what fish you are seeing say at 30 feet as opposed to fish at 20 feet? Will the bows always be above the Kokanee? What about the cutthroat?

Kokanee on my Lowrance will show up with orange, trout typically dont. Kokes have a longer air bladder so they show differently on most color fish finders.

I have an old humming bird, black and white.
Ive noticed that the kokane show up as larger fish
due to there air bladder being bigger. Took awhile
to figure this out, not sure on newer units.
