Pinks on the Snoho

Post by Bodofish » Wed Sep 09, 2015 7:27 pm

So have the little buggers moved up out of the lower river. Still there? What do ya say? I see reports from around 522 but none lower..... Just wondering where to drop in.

that's normally my mode but when they make the run, it's a waste of time below dug bar.

My buddy went this morning to 522 same spot we went Monday. Monday we caught 40 combined fish today he got 3 total... Fish moved up I think. So 522 was not banging them out this morning. Im going after work to put in a couple hours. Ill have another report.

Below the confluence or above makes a big difference, is it the jet or the drifter. Above is just too much worrying when there's not much water.

Right where the two logs stick up at 522 is where we fish. Lights out Monday 40 fish day. Today 6 fish day.

Two years ago I caught pinks just above the power lines and parked plane. Did real well under the trees and out of the sun. Caught fish every time they went through which was until late Sept. Could have my limit many times over in just a few hours. Need a boat to get there. Deep channels. Fish come through suspended and take jig with piece of sand shrimp. They are real silver down that far.

Good luck.

Thanks, good to know. I think it'll be the jet, I can usually sneak up the sky if I have to.

They are everywhere, and there are cohos too. The sky is pretty jet friendly right now btw.

Finding the biters has been the trick. The lower has more cohos in it too.

If you see me, stop by for a cool one. Coho's, always a bonus! Much rather fill the card with them. they were biting like crazy out in the salt a couple weeks ago and then just stopped, Coho's that is.
