I bought an Eagle Cuda for my 12 footer. Under $100. I made it portable. Has depth and temp.

He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

Whats your budget and what do you want it to do?

Prices go from under $100 to several thousands. Capabilities generally go up with price. You can sometimes find used units reasonably $$ too, but there is some risk there. You cant really tell if a sounder works until its in the water.

Budget is under $200.
I'm looking for something just plain and simple because just beginning and small boat. For start I think just depth and widest angle for sonar. Don't think I need any higher performance fish finder that can distinguish weeds from trees/logs/stumps and type of bottom I'm fishing. I hope this helps you guys narrow some choices for me

Thanks Toni! I'll take this into consideration after a couple more suggestions show to compare.

I have seen the Lowrance elite 4X hdi at Walmart on clearance for under 200 in the sporting goods area. Check some stores or call them you might get lucky. Great color units for a great price.
