I dont know that they will have a bass seminar but last year the did have a few B.A.S.S. tour pros. Mike Iaconelli, Byron Velvick and I think Terry Scroggins during a few of the days. Outdoor Emporium in downtown Seattle will probably have another bass seminar sometime in early March with some washington pros and its free.

THANKS DANIEL. ALTHOUGH, I FISH POTHOLES AND THE SNAKE RIVER EXCLUSIVELY FOR BASS, LISTENING TO SOME WASHINGTON PROS WILL BE A BIG HELP TO ME. I WANT TO EXPAND MY COMFORT ZONE TO SOME WESTSIDE LAKES SINCE I WORK OVER HERE, AND THOSE PROS WILL KNOW THE STUFF.

Do they still have a Sportsmans Show in Seattle? They used to have one near the Space Needle, do they still?

Mike are you still planning to have a WL.com booth at the Puyallup show?

I live in the Everett area and it's a long drive to Puyallup. Anyone want to carpool and split the cost of gas?

It was brought to my attention by another member that Mark Marcantonio (local bass pro) will be at cabelas on the 2nd of February (99% sure on that date). I dont know if there will be a seminar or not but Im assuming thats why he will be there.

I heard through the grapevine that cabelas will be runing their "Official" Grand Opening ad around the same time as the sportsman show. I also recieved a 2-fer deal in the mail today for admission to the show. No clue who it is from, maybe Les Schwab? They are a sponsor and I know I have an account with them. Keep your eyes peeled. Much better than a $3 off deal.

Especially since the $3 is midweek only

Is the 2-fer good on the weekend?

Well, the show has started. Who has attended and what kinds of deals are out there? Any good raffles to get into? Any gear on sale? Any must see booths? I heard that Muskies Inc has a replica 51" beauty on display.

Yes, they did have a display. I was there today and talked with the ladies at their booth. Impressive fish.
I thought this was an awesome place to go. Great deals? A few. Just depended on what you were looking for.
I haven't been to a sportmans show since it was in the Tacoma dome. There was a place selling its tackle off. Liquidation sale. They had blades, beads, knives and etc. etc. I bought some things to make spinners and spoons out of.
They have hunting and 4x4 stuff campers, trailers, lots of boats, lots of different pontoon type craft both small and large. A few places to taste the products. I got a guy to even give me his personal Rufus Woods triplod (spelling?) that he smoked! Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!He was really selling fishing poles.
I bought some polarized clip ons that I hope are better than the ones I got from Wal-Mart. I am not a member of Sportsco but I got a Berkley 8 foot casting rod for just under $55.00 which was better than I bought my spinning rod from Joe's. I spent way too much money but I think I got good deals.
The seminars I went to were OK. Showed how to float - jig fish in the steel head river. Terry Rudnick lead it and there was a guide form Oregon who helped him. They showed us how to tied the knots they used and how to do the floats. Fisherman_max, he stayed after to show how to tie the egg loop. Bill Herzog did the 2nd seminar I went to, on different techniques. It was very good. The third I wanted to go to was about reading water, they changed the times so I missed it.
It also had fly fishing stuff too.
I am glad I went.

Admission for adults is $10 and juniors (6-16) are admitted for $5. Children five and under are admitted free of charge when accompanied by an adult. For discount ticket locations and on-line discounts, visit http://www.otshows.com. Click on the http part and it will take you there. I only found discounts for weekdays.
