Carpet need

Post by fishnislife » Fri Oct 10, 2014 8:48 pm

Does anyone have left over marine carpet?
-I need marine carpet, either black, charcoal or grey.

If you have left over carpet from a mod or upgrade let me know. I am doing the same thing and I don't want to have to buy a whole roll that I will not use.

Can you clarify/explain, "Marine Carpet?"
I am pulling out about 1000 sq. ft. of what I would call **** indoor/outdoor carpet.
coming out Monday. It is really just low grade carpet that I would have used in a carport or something.

The previous owner chose to carpet our bedrooms with it.

Ya.....probably not that stuff. [biggrin] The kind you would want to put on your boat. Say for a casting deck, seat or floor.

BTW - Quad, I have big things coming. I got a boat! And I plan on walking this site through the whole modification.
And of coarse the aftermath it will produce, once on the water. My goal is nothing less than the state record LMB and I finally have the tools with this beauty. I thought of you for a brief moment when I bought it.

Awesome! Stoked to see another thread on builds! They usually turn out pretty cool and are fun to watch! Check with Cabelas. I was looking back when I had my Trophy, and needed some marine carpet for inside the cuddy. Same stuff you would put inside your boat. Online they have some decent prices and have some pretty small rolls if you needed and larger ones as well. All colors.

Thanks for the suggestion ResQ.
I will try my best to capture all that I do. And I am always up for helpful hints and suggestions.
Right now I am getting as many things as i can together to start. But first will be the cleaning and fixing the minor things.

Usually in spring, but Costco has some great outdoor carpet I use on my rebuilds. Lasts long, hooks don't argue, and it's cheap and new. Downside: Costco, you never know what they will have or when.

I used this on my boat and it came out very nice. This is very good carpet, but is not inexpensive and is purchased by the running yard in either 6' or 8' width.
