Texas pond outside Darrington

hello everyone,

I just found this site yesterday lol, I've been fishing since I was 4-5 years old, mainly lakes up until bout 8 years ago I started hitting the rivers and even more recently fly fishing anyways, there is a lake/ beaver pond out by darrington called texas pond over the last 10-15 years ive been out there a handful if times ive only ever seen 5 nice sized trout pulled out I know there is fish and good ones too, what I am wondering is if any of you on here has been there and had success, I would like to try and get out there sometime this summer and give it another go, if yoiuve got any tips on gear to use I am all ears

Been here once. We caught a few hogs. Not sure what else is in there aside from brookies. Several little ones too if I remember right.

Where were you fishing at? We went over to the far side of the lake from the launch area and did ok. Getting my 14 ft sled over the log jams in the middle ended up being a pretty wet experience. Next time I go up there, i'll be doing a kayak. Much easier.

I think it was around 14 feet at the deepest. Trolling little pistol petes on the deeper end, which is the side right after all of the log jams. Brown and black.

nice catch when I was last up there we did most from where the old bolt shoot is saw some nice cuts jumping but no bites didn't troll much im planning on getting a pontoon raft soon so ill be making a trip out for some fly fishing and trolling
