Inside track from WDFW - Salmon Report

Post by mizm05 » Fri Aug 16, 2013 11:01 am

I was having a conversation with my local WDFW guy about a different topic, and just happened to ask what he's heard about the incoming salmon hoard.

As of this morning, he said there are reports from the west coast of Vancouver (BC obviously) Island there are "more pinks than ever documented and most are Puget Sound fish based on DNA".

So the main hoard is still in transit. Not sure how long it will take them to get down here, but they are coming. That would explain why it's been slow. But there are fish in the river, I've seen them and have caught some (Puyallup).

Just thought I would share with the class. [thumbsup]

The little bit of rain has helped. My husband just texted me saying there are people at browns point with multiple fish on stringers. And anyone whos been fishing browns knows its been dead.
