Ads overlaid on report photos

So, what would the best res be? Say for my wide screen. Or would the size/shape of the screen have nothing to do with it?

What size is your monitor?

I have 2 19" 4x3 screens that I run 1280x1024. My 32" that sits on top of my side-by-side 19's is 1920x1080. At work I have 3 19" 16:9 that I run 1440x900.

23" diagonal wide screen. acual measurements: 11 1/2 " high and 20" wide. Asus brand. I don't know anything more than that. Works ok at 1024x768 but used to stretch the pictures side to side a lot, but after I screwed with the 1024x768 thing it's not so bad, but it started at 1024x768 and no changes helped so I put it back to 1024x768 and for some reason the pictures of cars and fish, etc, aren't stretched so bad now. I thought about having the computer people at the computer repair shop to check it out and set it up someday. I went most all the way up and down the scale;

I think the standard resolution for that monitor is supposed to be 1600x900.

the selection slider thing jumps from 1320 X 768 up to 1920 x 1080, nothing available in between.

the book doesn't show a single thing other than what the front buttons do, nothing at all on how to operate or set up the monator. I just looked at the book, 7 pages of hot botton, on off, volume, this and that.

the next selection up is 1152 x 864.

edit: ok reading more on that page, it says '1920 x 1080 5ms ' whatever 5ms is.

so, what is '1080p' ? pixles across? or total pixels? as I think more. It hurts to think when it comes to computers.

1080p is 1080 pixels high.

The stats on your monitor say "Recommended Resolution: 1920x1080". That's what you should be running it at.

Everything is going to get very small, but that's why the monitor is so large.. to counteract that.

I haven't been running Windows XP in... forever... so I can't tell you where the settings are, but there is a setting for Font Size somewhere is those display settings to make the icons and fonts a bit larger.
