Cowlitz or skykomish

Post by epk11 » Mon Jun 24, 2013 11:17 am

Looking to go fishing this week. Wondering if barrier is worth a shot or going to the sky is a better idea. Opinions?

I was on the Sky yesterday and it was really slow. Heard some guys up at the hatchery had some luck. There was about 7-10 guys fishing where I was and the only fish I saw was from a guy in a drift boat who landed one right in front of me where I was fishing.

Id take the Cowlitz over the Sky. The drive is a big factor for me so I usually do the Sky.

If you are fishing during mid week I would say just about any river you choose would be a good one but the cow is definitely due for a good push of fish.

It depend on your mood. Two totally different ball games with the same chances for fish. The Sky is a good bet for steelhead up at the hatchery and cable, the kings are slow to bite, but present. From what I hear, it's the same story on the Cowlitz.
