Carping!

Post by natetreat » Wed May 29, 2013 1:05 pm

The carp are on the bite in the shallows, and man these guys are fun. Post your carp stories up, and let's have fun with the
rough fish!
Check out this monster carp from the other day -

I spent the last summer trying to get a carp there, but no luck. Finally got one at green lake by summers end.

Any hint at that spot on what works and bait, Nate?

Havent done carp fishing since last time I was in Arizona. Id use a ultralight rod, until a carp pulled it in. It was on fathers day and we went fishing, id chum corn, cast out and sit my rod down. A carp pulled it in one day, I took my bass rod and put a treble on and started ripping it to get my line (a lot of line was out) I got out in about 3 casts, the line was at my dads fingertips and then it snapped. [crying]
