Re: june 1st
If you wait till springers open on the sky you can fish for both and have good succes
There are some achievements which are never done in the presence of those who hear of them. Catching salmon is one, and working all night is another.

The Kings are open June first on the Sky. Ive seen people catch jacks on June 1.
Thank you! Come again!
Re: june 1st
The Cascade does not have a hatchery summer run of steelhead. You will catch dolly varden and kings. The Skykomish will have steelhead and kings in it, early season is very good if you find concentrations of fish, throughout June it will pick up. They tend to hold in the lower sections of the river through Monroe, and will push higher towards the Sultan as numbers increase. For the kings having a boat is going to catch you a lot more fish though. The best places for them in the early season will be at the Ranch and Cracker bar, Al Borlin in Monroe and the Prison Hole. They like deep and big water, and will tend to go lockjaw later in the day. The Skykomish will be pretty good, but for access the Cascade is going to be your friend. Get there EARLY and claim your spot.

Yep the cascade fish bite really well... Only problem? You cant go past the hatchery hole in the high water and theres 80 guys in each hole... I got 6 on opener last year but i could only cast every 5 minutes with all the floats and fish on... Hopefully ill be backtrolling the skagit for um on the opener

I'll be on the Sky from June 1st on. I plan on taking time off this season for some good salmon action. Okay Okay so I lied. No wanted posters. Hehehe And Nate I might take you up on that offer. Lets see how my mula is. Im getting ready to pour concrete for a new longer driveway. As it stands now I have to fit my 7' wide boat in a 7'3'' driveway. Im widening and going longer.

Water is in snowmelt runoff, 3-4000 cfs. Its wayy to fast, water is just blowing right by over there, nobody really fishes it that ive seen, but the chute above produces fishBrat Bonker wrote:how do the people across from the hatchery hole do, think I might just fish that side on the opening weekend.fishenfreak wrote:Yep the cascade fish bite really well... Re: june 1st
well I was just thinking that since it would be easier to go fish the island stretch upstream from that side as well or go downstream to that bank across from no trespassing beach below the hatchery. would springers be in the same spots as coho? also I heard they put no trespassing signs at the little eddy all through that stretch for some reasonfishenfreak wrote: Water is in snowmelt runoff, 3-4000 cfs.
