Plexiglass/acrylic curved windshiled replacement

Post by Idstud » Sun Apr 14, 2013 7:06 pm

Well a few years ago I got my new boat top and took some family members fishing on lake samish near bellingham. The sister-inlaws boyfriend sat on my window and Ive been looking for a low cost way to replace it. Im unable to find the company I ordered it from as I think they are out of business. Ive been on the search for used boat yards does any one know of any. I live in the Arlington/lake stevens area. I looked into buying a glass one but thats 1000+ and have thought about building one but wouldnt know were to start. IM trying to find one close to the one thats on it so my canvas top will still fit. Thanks

I did a quick search for boat windshields for sale and there were about ten on the first page. Seem pretty easy to find. Framed and ready to go starts about $550. Get to measuring and see what fits.

I like your top, I need to get one made for a 80's hewescraft river runner with curved windshield like yours. How much did that one set you back?

If you want to trailer to Colville, the gal who makes the tops for Hewescraft does side work at home. PM me if interested. Her prices are very good from what I hear.

C&B Upholstery on N Market St in Spokane do a wonderful job. I got a tall top, side curtains, backdrop with roll up door and the back cover for about $800.00. They do a lot of hot rods and boats. Best in my book [thumbup]

That's a nice price. Our canvas is getting old and will need to be replaced pretty soon. Too bad they are in Spokane and not west side. Doubt we'll find that good a deal over here.

It's good to have options, when the money comes in I will be looking in those directions. They fit that nicely I must say. Thanks for the recommendations.

I got my top done at Letas Top shop in Arlington it was around 8-9 hundred. You bring her the boat and do some measurements and talk about what you want and a price before they start. If its a big boat at a Marina I know she travels some in the area.
