Construction At Sammamish State Park Launch
1st trip out on the water this year. My new bearings I installed works. No issues with heat on that hub. I get to Grangers and get 20 gallons of ethanol free gas. $4.08 per gallon. Ouchy.
I pull up to the park entrance and go HMMMMM. They got a new stop sign to pay. I turn around the curve and saw the disaster looking mess. WTF is going on there? I see these big rings in the ground that if I didn't know any better, are play pens looking forms. About 5 or 6 of them. Right where the 1st row of trailer parking use to be.
Good thing I'm pretty decent at backing up the trailer now. No issues. But pretty tight.
Time to start the boat....
Success. Starts right up.
What I'm use to seeing.

Thanks for the heads up. Good luck out there!

I was trying to figure out what those playpen looking things are also. Never got the chance to ask anyone. It does make backing up interesting.

Speaking of which. I see some sort of possibly "private park" and launch. It's on the east side of the lake, about 1/4 way up from the bottom.
I can't find a name for this place.

I think it's the Waverley Beach Park. Private beach owned by the home owners assn. just up the hill. Don't even think about it. They used to get totally bent just stopping and running up to the store for beer.

It looks like they are done with construction at Lake Sammamish.
I'm guessing they are some sort of drainage filter system. They put 5 of these in. I have no idea how much it costs. But I doubt they really do that much to help the lake........ I'm curious about the study behind this construction.

It's really stupid too, makes it harder to line up to back down the launch.

Yes, I've noticed that too.Amx wrote:It's really stupid too, makes it harder to line up to back down the launch.
Re: Construction At Sammamish State Park Launch
So...basically there are fewere parking spots, the costs have increased, and it is now more difficult to back our boats up? That sounds like a sound park management program.

That's about how it adds up.
