Favorite trout spinners

Since some of you are talking about spoons. What's your favorite spoon and what size? I dont know if Kastmaster is considered a spoon or not, but i finally caught a trout with 1. 1/4oz silver/orange.

Also, what's a "Super Duper"?

And with spinners. What size should a person use to catch fish with? I general try to go after the 1/4oz, so i can cast with them from the shore or dock. But i know, i limit myself to only big enough fish that will hit it...

You know contrary to what the women may say size really doesn't matter as far as spoons are concerned. Many spoons of different weights can surely affect your casting ability as well as your ability to get down in the current. I forgot to mention the Daredevil as a killer spoon for both bass and trout. it is red with a white strip down the middle. As far as casting goes here seems to be the rule. If you are on the shore you try and cast out as far as you can and if you are in a boat you try and cast as close to the shore as you can! Hard to please us fisherman. The Super Duper is another old lure made by Luhr-Jensen and it looks kind of like a tie clip. They truly are deadly everywhere. I prefer the smaller ones in both these and in needlefish because they work with the theory being that they look like injured baitfish, and they do. I have caught 6 lb trout on #18 flies at Rocky Ford Creek and have caught two inch bass on huge rapalas. The best fishing theory I have come up with is to have no theory. Red and white and copper and red are both good bets. I like silver blades on spinners, but have caught many on Mepps with brass. FishingFool check the Luhr-Jensens site.

Spoons:
For casting I use a Kastmaster. 1/4 oz in all silver or all bronze.
For trolling since they have no weight: Dick Nites or Canadian Wonders or Triple Teazers or Needlefish....

Spinners you just gotta match the size more importantly. Some 1/4 oz spinners are just way too big for trout to hit, so stick with the size that fits in their mouth and if you need weight, throw some 24 inches up ahead of the spinner and cast away with that...
