First time really steelheading. Buddy and I went to the Nooch

My first steelie was a 15lb buck. Wasnt as dark as the pic indicates the fish was colored up but I took the picture after the fish had been on ice for a while.

Found the sister too.

Alright FM, you just stick to warmwater ok? We don't need you cleaning up on the rivers as well. =;

Seriously, nice job man!
I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

Im with Gringo on this. FM you catch way too many bass and now youre gonna catch way too many steelies giving me less targets. Hmmmm. Next thing you know Fishing Freak will be lake fishing. When that happens Im selling all my gear. :-"

I have to thank my buddy for putting me on those fish and getting me on the river. It is crazy how similar bass and steelhead act in a river system. Catching those steel reminded me of catching some columbia river smallmouth besides the fact that they were 15lbs lol.

All kidding aside. I love seeing the new generation of fisherpeople. Its awesome seeing these folks fish like I used to. I miss my WWSC days fishing all the northern lakes and rivers. Its good to see some things never change. LOL.. Fishing is one of them.

Brat- We did the white bridge to black creek float. Caught em side drifting cheater and yarn. My buddy actually caught about an 18-20lb nate in the same little hole i pulled the buck out of on the next cast after we landed the buck. Absolutely chrome and beautiful nate released for another day. The fish had no hooks or jigs in em sorry brat lol

Got this sweet little hen to round up a stellar day on the Sky today, on the new rod. Man that rod is sweet, it may be my new favorite blank.

Thats a sweet rod Nate. I really like your TFO rod too. Thinking I will be getting one of those. I talked to ya on the sky wednesday. You let me hold those rods.Very nice. Going up in the morning to the sky again I think. Hopefully better fishing!

Worth the trip. The intake pipe at Reiter is getting blcoked by a big fat steelie, I don't think any of the other fish can get in. There are fish in there, just gotta know what they want to bite. Both of those rods are sweet, the TFO one for the price. If you're interested in the NW Rods, tell dave Nate sent you, and he'll probably give you a sweet deal.

When your hot, your hot. Had an epic day on the vedder today, 4 for 6, the 2 i lost were 10+, and i landed a 9lb hatchery hen i released early, released a 12-13 lb hatchery hen, released a 14 lb native buck and finally finished, since your done when you kill one, but finished with a 16.3lb hatchery buck, chrome as can be. pretty damn awesome day, only one under 10lbs. Check out these pics! WILD FISH legal out of water in B.C.
