Having trouble submiting a saltwater report
Hello!
I'm not sure if it's because I am using hotel wifi, or if their is an actual error, but I can't seem to submit an area 13 saltwater report. Wehn I get to the ho tspots page, the map doesn't actually populate and just has the text "To use the HotSpot tool you must first select a lake from the Location area above." although it's a slatwater report. That's fine though as I am not marking a hot spot. However, when I click "preview" to go to the final page nothing happens. Same with the "back" button on the page. Again, it could just be because I am on public wifi. But if it's a glitch FYI and thanks for your time!
Best,
Blake

There are others having this issue, but I am unable to reproduce it. Are you at all technically inclined? If I gave you some steps to follow could you help me diagnose the problem?

I'm pretty tech stupid, but my fiancee is a tech support professional. She's out of town for a trade show, but will be back Sunday. If you send me some steps she can probably do it if I can't. Thanks! (might be a few days though)

Re: havdeing trouble submiting a saltwater report
I just tried submitting a report for Fish Lake in Chelan County and it did the same thing. Both reports had in common that I tried to submit them from hotel wifi. I don't much about computers but it makes me wonder if it a weird hotel security thing or something. I'll be home Sunday and try to re-submit the reports.

Thats happened to me once or twice too. Try and go back to the first page and re select washington, county, river, or saltwater area. It might work. Worked for me.
Re: havdeing trouble submiting a saltwater report
Well as far as I can tell there is a script that is trying to load but can't. I need SOMEONE that is having this problem to try these steps for me:
Fill out the report, in Chrome. Proceed to the 3rd step (photos).
Before proceeding to the hotspot screen, press F12 (or CTRL+SHIFT+I). This will bring up the Developer Tools. There will be a toolbar with various tabs. Click on the "Console" tab.
After you are on the console tab, press the Next button to proceed to the HotSpot screen.
Once the Hot Spot page is loaded there should be information in the console area. Either copy all of the text out of the console and email it to me, or take screen shots showing the entire log (you can expand it by grabbing the top edge).

Re: havdeing trouble submiting a saltwater report
I'll give it a try-- just submitted one of the reports on Google Chrome with no problem. Might be a quirky IE thing...
Re: havdeing trouble submiting a saltwater report
It's not a browser specific thing. Other users I know of have the problem in Chrome, but Chrome's console is easy to get to and will help me figure out WHY it's happening.

Hi Aaron! Alright, I took a screen shot-- I was going to upload it here but it's too big. I think sending you an e-mail on walakes doesn't give me the option of attaching a file from my computer. Let know the best way to get this to you. Thanks!

Email it to support at washingtonlakes.com using your regular email program.

Sent! If it doesn't show up please let me know.
Re: Having trouble submiting a saltwater report
It showed up, but the screenshot wasn't taken while the "problem" was present... so there was nothing in the console to see.
