Re: Russell Wilson in the House
Cool! Steve Raible was talking about Wilsons salary for the next season. He said Wilson's rookie contract provides an income of only 526K for next season. Obviously he is worth far more than that. Raible also said the NFL rules say that a rookies contract cant be changed for three years. Doesnt make any sense. There must be some way around that. Maybe the NFL gives waivers or something. The guy should be maklng millions. We need to keep him happy!

Well, from reading the replies, I'd say he's the quarterback of the Mariners. The last person I remember who the quarterback was, was when Dave Craig was the quarterback of the Sonics. As I've said before, I just don't follow any sports team, not even car racing. I used to, car racing that is, but these days I don't. I just go fishing.hewesfisher wrote:My thoughts exactly.Amx wrote:Who?

His backup is who you want to get a hold of. When one of the local sports stations interviewed him shortly after his signing was announced, it was conducted from his bass boat while out fishing with his daughter. Now if you put 2 and 2 together, you may understand why, with a practice facility on the shores of Lake Washington, he didn't seem to be putting in as much time as Wilson was studying the playbook last summer.
Re: Russell Wilson in the House
AWESOME. Is that really all he's getting paid? Wow.

Someone tweet him.

Yeah, I thought he'd be getting at least a million.natetreat wrote:AWESOME. Is that really all he's getting paid? Wow.
Re: Russell Wilson in the House
That's a shame. Matt Flynn's contract is 27 million to sit on the bench for three years! And Wilson can't renegotiate for three years on his rookie contract? It's a shame, I say we start a petition to get him paid more! 2.99 million over 3 year is an insult.

Looked like he went to the Children's Hospital right after Costco.

This guy is a great representative for the Seahawks. Too bad about his contract, hopefully he'll get something in endorsements.

Re: Russell Wilson in the House
I posted Wilsons salary on another website. I got this link from another poster. There are quite a few fairly big name players who also have lousy contracts. Wilson is #29 on the list. Click on begin slide show.

Re: Russell Wilson in the House
I'm sure he is doing OK. That said, ya, it sucks for him that Matt Flynn is making all that money sitting on the bench. Two more years and Wilson will be making a ton.kzoo wrote:Looked like he went to the Children's Hospital right after Costco.

BTW, from the brief interaction we had he was as polite and friendly as you would expect watching the various interviews over the season.
