Beaver Lake (KING COUNTY)

Hey does anyone happen to know when there putting the triploids in to beaver lake I heard they were putting 2000-3000 in.

they are still planting? i thought they are pretty much done planting til next year.

No, no triploid plants until next year. When trips are planted, it is in much smaller numbers like 1000 at very max. Usually it is a number of like 300 or 500.

I tried to go with my pontoon but it was really windy and I didn't have an anchor or a motor so all I was doing was fighting the wind. That reminds me that I really need to get an anchor soon before something like that happens again.

yeah there still raising the fish in the hatchery to plant this month

Are they going to plant tripliods? I know they are going to put a nice amount of big fish in for the winter at beaver, but I cant remember if they are trips or not. But they are going to be between 1 - 3 lbs I believe. Either way I will make it out to sammamish for some winter fishing. Beaver is a GREAT winter trout lake with a lot of huge fish taken in the colder months.

661 trips were planted in beaver last year

yeah i live 2 minutes away from the lake so its my first lake of choice and i love fishing that lake my biggest trout this year was 21 in and 5 pounds caught in the middle of july. But yeah fishing is the best there in the winter

King County's Beaver Lake to receive
3,000 large hatchery rainbow trout

OLYMPIA - Anglers will soon have an opportunity to catch lunker trout in Beaver Lake near Issaquah, thanks to the release of about 3,000 hatchery rainbows weighing between 3 to 5 pounds each.

The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife (WDFW) is scheduled to release the fish during the week of Nov. 12. The trout were part of an educational display at WDFW?s Issaquah Hatchery.

Beaver Lake is best fished by small boat, although anglers also can be successful fishing from shore, said Chad Jackson, inland fish biologist for WDFW.

The lake's access site is most easily reached by way of East Beaver Lake Drive Southeast, off Southeast 24th Street in the city of Sammamish. Parking for vehicles and boat trailers is limited, and a valid WDFW vehicle access permit must be easily visible in or on vehicles parked at the access site. Beaver Lake is one of several westside lowland lakes open to fishing year-round. Internal combustion boat engines are prohibited on the lake. All anglers 15 years of age and older are required to have a valid fishing license. The daily bag limit is five fish, and bait anglers must keep the first five trout they catch.

Anglers are advised to check the sport fishing rules pamphlet, which is available on WDFW?s website at http://wdfw.wa.gov/fish/regs/fishregs.htm .
