RE:Year-round lakes
Hey derrick-k, I accidentally clicked on the wrong button and removed your post in the process of removing mine. Sorry, this is in no way a warning or personal. But I think you and Shad_Eating_Grin are right, I checked the online regs and I can't find anything to back up what I was saying (which is why I was deleting mine).

Yeah long lake might be kind of hard to find. It is in the Columbia National Wildlife Refuge. Which actually sits right across the dam from potholes reservoir and is fed by the reservoir. There is a couple hundred lakes over there and only a handful get closed for the winter so pretty much the entire area is open all year.

RE:Year-round lakes
Ah, yes. That would be easier provided you knew all the lakes. This is easier for looking for lakes other than the same two lakes I normally hit in the winter. Especially for transplants like me.Shad_Eating_Grin wrote:I use a much simpler method. I look in the regs booklet... if the lake is not listed there, it is by definition open year round. For lakes that are listed in the regs booklet, the special rules will state the specific open season.
