that was last december when the river was running at like 250 cfs during that drought we had last winter

I'm pretty sure that fork of the Hoh is a selective fishery so no eggs. Don't know if you were aware of that or not.

oh course im aware, fished yarn balls the whole trip, buddy makes these things he calls yarn ball egg flies, they have stringy white yarn and single fake eggs unscented of course they work just as well as eggs, deadly!

yea id say its about 50% chrome 50% pretty dark, only caught one fish that was totally spawned out last year tho, they wouldnt touch a pink worm in my honey hole last year, but when i threw the yarnie out, fish ON. me and kockmandoo watched a 15lb buck run across a 1 foot deep flat to grab a pink yarnie.

ever try those yarnies of yours on the cascade, I made up some nightmare looking ones that I wanted to try on the skook last year but never got around to doing it, bobber dog, sand shrimp oil and fish. on. also how do you land (or catch) fish by that log/tree that is by the first fork over on the other side of the cascade 2nd hole down from the hatchery, tried it last weekend fishy looking for sure but nothing, bet it helps to have good friends too that will do anything to land a steely haha.

I watched guys kick their fish onto shore. It was like they were playing soccer with them.

lots of practice getting um outta there, only one small little place you can get bit, and when you do you gotta pull like hell, some break off some dont, usually anything thats not a 5lb hatch brat breaks off, but still badass to hook um. just gotta hope they cooperate and stay outta the sticks! and yea yarnies work great on cascade but i run shrimp or eggs with um most of the time

how deep do you run your jigs/baits under your floats over there? (probally a secret so I understand if you do not say)

get it down super close to bottom they sit right on the rocks under the logs, get down and get down quick. never hit a jig fish there, only eggs
