CANT WAIT!

Post by RiverChromeGS » Sun Oct 21, 2012 9:07 pm

Looking back over my Youtube Videos i am starting to get really anxious for winter steelhead again! salmon are fun and all, but after 50 fish days, hooking up isn't the same as hooking into a monster 15+lb wild steelhead that makes your heart race and hands shake!

Figured i'd post a video from last year to get everyone excited about steelhead season. Video is from me and Nate last year on the OP fighting a MONSTER wild hawg steelhead!

I hear ya! Can't wait for this winter. Getting kinda tired of catching coho, looking forward to some big OP steelhead. Great, cause i live an hour-2 hours away from every river by forks [biggrin] Love the video! Was that the upper hoh, somewhere above a certain watermark? :-k

Yep, that was my secret spot on the Hoh, love that river. Wild steelhead are a ways away though! I'm still stoked about big OP hawg kings for now. But there is no question that steelhead are going to be awesome this year. I love a good wilderness steelhead trip! That fish was definitely a hawg though! Those nates are a different breed for sure.

Yep nothing gets the blood pumping like a big steelhead, nothing else compares, except maybe a huge chrome king

Pentax waterproof camera, the quality is bad not because of the camera but because of my editing program last year, now i have a better program so my new vids are HD with same camera

nice, I have been tying up some nice plain jane looking jigs that I think will work great for those fish out there, guess we are just going to have to see huh.
btw is it easier to cross below the log jam than to cross the 2 other branches on the other side to get to the slot above the mouth, that thing just looks fishier and fishier every time I see it. [drool]
