I love the island when it is raining bet they were stacked like cords of wood in there, went local today and it was unreal what rain can do.
My guess the river will be in shape by friday right? Going up to do some slay, see you guys out there.

Oh man. I am super jelly. I've been gone all weekend hunting and i knew this rain would make fishing better. Glad I am able to get out tomorrow though. Ran out of eggs a while ago so hopefully my bobber and jig will catch them like they did last year. On a good note did see 3 herds of elk that had at least 15-20 in each and 7 deer but were all females so no meat takin home. Last herd of elk we saw, we walked up on them over a hill and were about 20-25 yards. So frustrating when you see a bunch of elk and its deer season only.

Dude you caught a hatchery brat above the creek, nice, my dad has hooked one there too bobber dogging eggs and I have seen guys get a couple next spot down, just not as good as the second stretch down from the hatchery, caught my first cascade brat there on a jig.

That could be why fishing was so slow there. [confused]

yeah but if you continue down the trail and hit the hatchery holes from that side it can be pretty good during certain conditions.

I went yesterday to Thomas Eddy - river was way up and the fish were gone. Couldn't fish from the normal spot...had to be up higher on the bank. No bites, just snags. Only saw a couple fish jump on the entire river and everybody seemed be heading out empty-handed. Any thoughts?

I may go check out the prison-hole today, hoping they went upstream and are resting for the next big rain. How far up do you think they are or do you think it's over for Coho season?

I am fine with that, I will take out my net and start catching all their gear, it would be like an all expense paid trip to wholesale sports or cabelas haha.

River was good again on the drop today, hooked 60+ and put 50 on the bank, kept 16 fish for 4 people, a few brighter fish round, most half blush and some big ol fire trucks, fun day on the river with Drysuperfly52 and his buddies from the website! a few of the bigger hawg wild fish have showed up, got some huge fire trucks and the pic of the 2 on the ground below were 12+ pound wild bucks!
