Lake Merwin POACHING

Post by Dex » Tue Oct 02, 2012 8:23 pm

All,

Please help us stop these poachers that have been seen and reported several times this past year and from what I'm told were out again last week attempting to spear more Tiger Muskies. We have the boat number and a good description of who they are, yet for one reason or another they continue to illegally take our fish. [angry]

This boat has been following the shoreline of known Muskies location accross the lake and at times has a diver in the water with a speargun and has been seen with Tiger Muskies.

If you witness this kind of activity call the local law enforcement (911) or the WDFW hotline (1-877-933-9847) immediately.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated

Sheesh. Who would want to poach a musky when they're so much fun to catch?

Why isn't the boat numbers good enough to find them?

If you get reception out there..call 911 and ask for the State Patrol dispatch..and report these turds. If you can get them with muskies or any other gamefish, that would be more helpful. These guys are of middle European descent. Not very discreet and are very bold. They did have a SPEARGUN ! Not a spear for frogging. I wish we had gotten a photo of the weapon. Talked to 4 different guys the weekend before. I specifically went down there to catch them. Werent' there then. If you guys see them down there approach them ask questions and call the authorities. No telling what they have taken. Bass, kokes, carp and probably the muskies too. Gotta gets these goobs soon! Its ILLEGAL to spearfish gamefish. It in the regs page 12...check it out! See ya on the water.

I don't know if I would suggest approaching them or not, if so do with caution. I'm sure by now they know their being watched.

That would likely be, a big 10-4!!!! I think that is CB lingo meaning, "I am in agreement".
