Yeah really need rain! Supposed to rain on the 13th i believe. Hopefully. Guess i will head out to the tahuya right before the dungeness opens, or when that river slows down.

Yeah those resident seals suck. at high tide they go way up there. last year the fish didn't show in numbers til the very last few days of October. I'm just thankful the Indians don't net the bay! but they were netting dewatto earlier in the season for I'm assuming stray skok kings.

no I am still working quilcene fish tagged one today, released a few darkies and lost a half a dozen chromers, go to linger longer bridge and you will see a few thousand just chillin there like there is no rush. Do not both with the dewatto till it rains it is a trickle right and there are no fish in the bay either yet, I will hit that place later in october. I do not fish the tahuya much believe it or not, rather fish the dewatto and go pheasant hunting there too. Good luck to all that do venture though, try the skok in my opinion, more water and fish right now.

How many fish did you see out on the quil? And how far down do you fish? Just kinda wondering what its like out there right now. By the way, have i seen you out on the quil? I'm always out there with my grandapa. drifting eggs in a small slot above a log with a root ball on it.

idk there are a lto of small slots with logs, probally I fish 101 down. I only saw about 20-25 chromers if that and a lot more darkies, water is super low. Is that slot you are talking about by the claybank with that cable or line in the air cause that is normally where I fish but I just walk down 101 till I start seeing fish.

I don't think so, its a small slot with a big rock wall behind it, above is rapids and below a little is a big ball of roots and two logs next to that. Then further down i fish a deep hole that has a trail behind the bank that i believe goes towards the clay banks.

Upstream of claybanks i think. It's the end of the main trail going down the river. Its a narrow path through the brush that Leads to the slot, Big wall on the other side? Maaybe half a mile to a mile or so downstream of 101. Also never seen that house. I've only hiked to the other side of the tree on claybanks i think? I don't have waders, just rubber boots. So i'm kinda limited to a few spots.
