Hello I just moved to Wenatchee from Moses Lake, and would like to know what kind of salmon lures to use(sizes and color), time of day i should go? A place to go? I have a 8 1/2 pole and large Penn reel, about 5 spoons and few buzz bombs that were given to me a week ago. I don't have a boat so trolling is out of the question. I would really enjoy all the help as this is my first time salmon fishing.
thanks so much, maybe we could even hook up, and try to catch a few.

Re: Salmon fishing, wenatchee area HELP
Welcome aboard hurdcolby,
Bottom bouncing below Wells Dam using roe and glow in the dark corkies could pull some fish for you after dark. I don't fish the Wenatchee River much so I'm not sure how to rig up for that body of water. It's mostly a boat game in this area but I do know that you can catch them from the shore below Wells, check out my avatar. Also I've seen Salmon pulled from the shore at Walla-Walla point park. If you get a chance, stop by the Hooked on Toys fishing counter and listen to the conversations. You'll pick up some good info. Hang on tight to your wallet because they are all about selling you the latest & greatest. Make sure that you check the regs before you head out.
