Well...It's done, "Gringo's" name has been burned into WL.com history once again. At this pace he's gonna need to add on to his house to hold all his plaques.

I like Cavdad's idea about the ongoing fishing contest. Whoever's got the most pounds in their vitual livewell gets to sit in the "winner's seat" until they are de-throned. This way, you won't be able to just sit back and bask in your glory, if you do someone's gonna come along and kick you lazy butt out.

I'll let the experts figure out the details, great idea though Cavdad :thumleft:

Fire up that wooburner Bassackwards cause that plaque is comin home!:king:
Congrats! That is one big fish! Good job!

Now, if we were doing a contest for the smallest, I would win for sure!
I don't know Mikey...scroll back a few pages and take a look at the lures....I mean, first four fish Gringo turned in LOL...Sorry Mark, you know you can't just walk away with the "crown" without a few good hearted jabs, right??

I can't wait to see what Fishinislife has up his sleeve. I've got a special plaque in mind for you "Fishin", for setting all these up. Give me a few weeks, I'll post some pics.
Yeah, see, there's a reason why I didn't post my 3 fish. :-$

Hey Gringo, when you get the plaque take a picture of both of them up on your wall. I think we'd all like to see your recent trophies. It's ok to rub it in a little, you deserve it for all your hard work. :thumright

Ohh yeah - already in the plans - the Gringo Wall-O-Fame was established the day after the WL.com BBQ and there is already a nail in the wall to hang the new addition on!

Sung to the tune of "We are the Champions" - by :queen:

I've bait my hook -
Time after time -
I've bank fished for years
so my casting is pretty damb fine -
And the big ones
I've lost a few
I've snagged my share of lures and spoons and crankbaits -
But I've come through

I am the champion - my friends
And I'll keep on fishing - till the end -
I am the champion -
I am the champion
No time for losers
'Cause I am the champion - of the WL.com -

I've taken many bows and panfish
And a little bass, catfish, & carp to -
They brought me fame and plaques and tackle

I thank you all -

But it's been no easy pickins
No U-fish pond -
I considered it a challenge before the whole WL.com site -
And I didn't lose -

I am the champion - my friends
And I'll keep on fishing - till the end -
I am the champion -
I am the champion
No time for losers
'Cause I am the champion - of WL.com -

lol... love the queen icon.

Nice shrine!

That song reminds me... I have an "ode to broken pole" somewhere that my friend wrote after he broke my fishing rod. I need to find that.
"I got my swim trunks, And my flippie-floppies
I'm flipping Jigs, you at Kinko's straight flipping copies"

I LIKE IT!!!! Not sure I would've put all those rods in front of the "shrine" though, sorry, I'm a little bias.

Notice everyone....HE'S GOT ROOM FOR MORE UNDERNEATH!!!!

Good job again "Gringo", it was good talkin with you yesterday.

That song is too good to let fade into the Forum. Added to my "Web Talk" section, to be immortalized forever on this site's database.

Thanks, it was a fun one. Maybe we'll do another derby sometime, never know when I'll get inspired/motivated.
