How do you store your Power Bait Dough and Eggs...
Within your tackle bags?
At the start of targetting trout this season, I just stored them in my backpack but the dad-gum smell is getting to me and I really dislike the darn stink they have permeating through the entire backpack. It got bad enough that the stink transferred to my jacket just by having my backpack on my back!
I tried using keeping both power bait dough and eggs in zip lock bags but that doesn't seem to help much if at all. In addition, I have not found a Plano type box at local stores that could accommodate a handful of power bait jars. Perhaps a tupperware type of plasitc container? Or perhaps obtain a separate bag which I am not inclined to do.
What do you guys use if anything to stave off the smell and store your jars? Or is that smell a sign of true troutmanship?

I have 4 or 5 jars of the dough in my tackle bag enclosed in a ziplock and I don't smell them at all, my gear just smells like plastics. Maybe that is because I use them only when I'm not catching anything else.
I only recently put them in a ziplock to keep them from falling out when I was getting a different spool out of the same pocket.
I don't recall ever smelling them. I don't use the eggs though, maybe they are worse.

I've got an old plastic tackle box with the tray tossed out. It's affectionately known as the stinky bait box. It holds the PB and all the scents, butters and lotions......

I have a newer Plano tackle bag that I got at walmart for $24 and it has a pouch built in the side for power bait and I store eggs and crappie nibble in there and don't smell a thing

Thanks for the suggestions. I will continue to use the zip locks and maybe get a smaller bag dedicated to p bait and eggs. Come to think of it, perhaps the zips are working but my backpack already smells bad, lol.
TroutSniper, do you have the Plano Model # for that box?

I keep the power eggs in a plastic bag in my back pack. Never had a problem with smell. The only smell is from trout blood and slime on the same bag haha
