Caught a nice hatchery steelhead from the Methow quite a few years back with a huge stomach. When we cleaned it we found the guts of another steelhead that someone had tossed into the river. I mean the whole thing, stomach, milt sac, gills everything!

I didn't see it first hand, but I saw a picture in Bassmaster or some other mag a few years back. It was Lake Fork in Texas where a three-pound bass tried to swallow a two-pound bass. The smaller bass was already dead and the larger bass was almost dead struggling on the surface when a fisherman found them.

Too aggressive for its own good. Did the fisherman take the two pounder out?

I think he had the pair mounted together as he found them, if I remember right.

That would make an awkward sitation for an aquaintance. "Hey Joe, come in!" First thing Joe sees is the bass massacre on the living room wall.

It would be a great mount in a tackle store, though. Have to stock alot of lures in a bass pattern.

The wierdest thing that I have found in a fish's stomach is a 3"x2" piece of light blue plastic in my biggest steelhead. It was an 18 lb. buck landed on the Skykomish River, I have hooked larger Steelhead but failed to land them because of circumstances that I would rather not discuss "sore subject".

The plastic that I found was skinny an fairly sharp "for going down a fish's throat". I still have this piece of plastic saved away for my "fishing collection", antique's and such.

I have also found water ouzle's in steelhead stomach's. A water ouzle is a small water bird usually found on the shores of rivers dipping it's head over and over in the water for food. Usually grey in color and a little smaller than a sparrow.

Hey Mallard, we missed you the last couple weeks. Welcome back. Have you been putting a dent in the migratory bird population?

i caught 3lber in march, and when i took my powerbait worm out of its mouth it spat out like 6 2 inch minnows it was so weird but the wierdest thing was 1. they were almost perfect no scratches on them and looked like they had been eaten 5 minutes prior, 2. after he spat out the minnows i looked deaper in to his mouth only to find a small 3 inch soft swim bait hooked into his inner mouth with a bit of frayed line hanging out i was like wow this fish is a beast and the funny thing is he almost snapped me off because he swam under a floating log and had my line rubbing on the bottom of it i was so scared, best fighting bass i have ever caught

About two months ago I caught a 12' Rainbow with a twig in it's stomach. It was about 1/4" by 1" with a little bump on the end closest to the fishes mouth. Also the twig was kind of mushy. :compress:
A bad day of fishing, is better then a good day at work !!!!!!!
