Good morning Stacie,
You have talked about the high lake Tiger Muskie a few times and I was wondering how many lakes have been stocked and with how many fish ?
I would also like to know what else do the Tigers have to feed on in these lakes?

Thanks for your time.

Yellowbear

I got some info for you on the FWIN:

FYI, We set 24 nets on Potholes Reservoir over two days and caught ~300 walleye. It is a rough count since we counted walleye as they entered the boat when we pulled nets. The catch rates were very low for all species.

I see YB is asking you about 700 walleye being collected. Our biological threshold is around 300 walleye.

Let me know if you have further questions on this.

We got the idea from I believe it was Idaho Fish and Game. I believe there is a report floating around but my boss is up watching Condit Dam get blown up so I will need to wait until he gets back to track down that information for you.

Hey YB,

There were two high/alpine lakes stocked with tiger muskies back in 1997.
The first was a 7-8 acre lake and the other was about 10 acres. The first lake received 70 musky fingerlings and the slightly
bigger lake was stocked with approx. 90 tigers. I believe they were put there to get eastern brook trout numbers down.
Both lakes were a one time plant and "IF" there are any tigers left in there,I can only speculate that it would only be but a few. These are more like ponds and I doubt they would have much to eat over the years. A cougar or a bear probably made a meal of them. Don't take my numbers as solid fact but it should be pretty close,I'm basing all of this on memory....which can be dangerous at times.

I think it was sooner than '97....maybe 2005. Sorry, can't recall at the moment

What specifically would you like to know about these two lakes?

ETA: Banks Lake was done two weeks ago and FDR will be done next week. Overall catch rates for walleye are low on these waters.

You can only use the methods listed on page 139 in the pamphlet. So no hook/line sort of thing. The season is open through the end of the month. For more specific questions you can contact the Regional Office directly at 425-775-1311.

Let me know if you were after something else!

If only you werent so far away! #-o

What was your take on the sediment release from Condit Dam? Do you think that has or will adversely effect the Salmonid population in the river? Looks like a lot of habitat was washed away and destroyed.
