Salmon Counting

Post by JT26 » Sun Sep 30, 2007 3:28 pm

i volunteered to count the salmon at Kelsey creek. ive done it twice so far and seen one fish. it wasnt very big, maybe 8-10lbs. I count were the kelsey creek ladder meats the mercer slough. The water was really murky so i marked the fish as un identified and got bored and got a ride to the issiquah hatchery.

Does anyone else count salmon in local creeks?

I've thought about it. I know that Mill Creek WAS asking for volunteers. I remember seeing some people usng colored glasses to see the fish better. Perhaps that was on TV. But it would make sense.

Edit: You might still be able to sign up, there's some links to the Sno county site, which also has links to The Kings site as well.
