Thought it would be interesting to hear what the stories of all your avatars. Why did you pick it etc. If it's a fish where you caught it (you don't need to tell if it is a secret), and how you caught it.

I'll start off, two silver salmon caught on the river banks on thanksgiveing weekend, driftng eggs with a pencil weight. We started off the day with my dad imedietly landing one out of my favorite hole in the river, after he landed it he moved while I tied up the magical neon green yarn with an egg cluster first cast in the same hole he just caught a fish out of I got a bite and landed the second one booy that was a great day!

Prior to the birth of my son, my two daughters and my '98 Fender Telecaster were my three loves (of course my WONDERFUL wife too)....

That's the short story of my avatar. Kinda boring compared to your silvers Derrik, priceless none the less.

9 pound silver caught on the Carbon last year in Oct. Only silver I have caught from a river so far.
Look for Wannafish A Lure on FaceBook
He said, “Throw your net on the right side of the boat and you will find some.” When they did, they were unable to haul the net in because of the large number of fish.

I had a guy on one of the boards in Cali make it years ago. He created a bunch of designs for people he liked. Very creative guy and an awesome bass fisherman. I have found his design on shirts now years later.

Glad you asked about avitars.... I can cleanse my conscience. My son likes to go out on the Sound and catch dog fish. While most people hate them, 8 y/o boys think they're SHARKS! and very cool. We caught this pretty good size one, and I wanted him to pose for a picture with it. He started freakin' out a little. It looks like I am sort of being really mean and taunting, but I really wasn't. It was all smiles within a few minutes.

Mine is a bonefish from Ascention Bay south of Playa Del carmen, Mexico. It was taken by my wife during our honeymoon last November. Spent the whole day on a Panga flats fishing and had a blast! She caught her one fish and then sunbathed and took pictures. Awsome day, awsome trip! WARNING TO ALL! If you are bald, Norwegian and out for an all day fishing trip in a tropical climate, do not wear a hat that has holes!

I fish not because I regard fishing as being terribly important, but because I suspect that so many of the other concerns of men are equally unimportant, and not nearly so much fun. ~ John Volker

I have a little Subaru man showing a Honda who's boss. Coincidently, I drive a Subaru and my wife, well she drives the Honda. Never thought of it like that. I'm sure that she would have it the other way around. HA!

This is my son and favorite fishing partner with a largemouth out of Spanaway in 2006. Not sure on the size, but it was a decent one. Didn't have a scale with me on the trip.
When you think you know it all, its time to quit. Knowledge should be gained on every trip.

Mine is one panel from a three panel comic that pretty sums it up for me. Especially during meetings.

I thought about changing it to this one, but decided against it.

I caught the catfish in my avatar while fishing in the deep waters of Google. :-"

Seriously, I love everything about fishing for 'em and I sincerely wish that we had some around Sammamish/Issaquah/Redmond area.

Skeeter- That fish looks about as big as your son. Nice one. Hopefully I'll have a son soon, otherwise I'm gonna have to go to Big Brothers/Big Sisters and share with one of the kids there.
