It means that it is time to look for a good deal on a quality stock! Oil is down to $90 a barrel, maybe we will see a reduction in price at the pumps for the 4th of July weekend.

RE:WOW!!!!
I know, I know, the prices will magically drop on the 5th of July, after everyone is back home.

RE:WOW!!!!
Ha! Someone figured out that the high energy prices are putting a strain on the nations economy. Wow! Poor oil companies, maybe we should give them some more tax breaks to make up for their tragic losses.

RE:WOW!!!!
Let's put a little historical perspective on this oil/gas price thing.
In 1966, I was working at a restaurant washing dishes for $1.25/hr. At that time, gas was selling at .28¢/gal. That would make the cost of one gallon of gas 22% of my hourly wage.
Today, working the same job would pay $7.36/hr. With the cost of gas at $3.79/gal, that makes up 52% of that equivalent hourly wage.
Now, in 1966, tensions between Egypt, Syria, Jordan and Israel were extremely high. This led up to the "Six Day War" between Israel and Egypt in June of 1967.
When I graduated from high school in 1969, the cost of regular gas had remained the same,.28¢/gal, through all of this, including during the peak of the Vietnam War in 1968.
So, why are gas prices so high now? Corporate greed and speculation. Period.

RE:WOW!!!!
It is for most people except......
The 2011 Washington minimum wage is $8.67
Washington's minimum wage applies to workers in both agriculture and non-agricultural jobs, although 14- and 15-year-olds may be paid 85% of the minimum wage.
When I was washing dishes, I was only 15 and they paid less than the regular min. wage. The law apparently hasn't changed.
