so true. it was 18 Billion (and ongoing) and that compound is like right near an elite military training center I believe. Kinda like being just down the road from West Point.

Ever since the bombing of Tora Bora, I had a gut feeling that he had slipped over the border. From that time on, I had wondered about Pakistan as an ally. The following interview has haunted my memory for several years. It was just a few months after the first video clip, Bin Laden built his fortified compound about 800 yards away from the Military Academy, from which Musharaff graduated from. It is clear to see in the second video, just how poorly the relationships between the two countries had eroded. Notice how both of the Pakistan officials are looking continuously downward and not at the cameras or reporters.
Gives a whole new meaning to "hiding in plain site".
