O-tay! Let's go!

Wish I would have known of this Friday before I took my 5-year-old out fishing. We caught bluegills, browns, and a few bass to boot. I guess I'll be getting busy.

OK, I had a busy week of work so I couldn't get to this sooner but... this is an "Officially Sanctioned WL.com Event". :-)

This is Fishnislife's baby so his rules apply and he is the Official Abitrator of all things contest-related. There will be additional prizes coming from WL.com.

I'll be looking for those contest reports - be sure to include on the report that this is a fish contest entry, it will help fishnislife keep things organized.

Thanks and Good Luck!

I would rather go hunting rattlesnakes than fish for carp.

You have to keep the interest level at least mid scale to make this kind of thing work.
Ever eaten whitefish that wasn't named (Ivar's, Long John Silver's, Skippers, etc...)? I hate to break it to you, but you ate carp. Aside from that, fishing for carp can be quite entertaining. They'll eat darn near anything and I mean anything. But hey, different strokes for different folks!

Sounds like a great, albeit challenging contest!

Thanks Mike for making this a STICKY and putting it up on the Home page as an Announcement.
Alright everyone get your reports and pics in, I can already tell that some people have been thinking about knocking out some species this week. Come this weekend I bet we will have some anglers with 3 species in the books.
GET OUT THERE!

Hey, I see lots of jabbering, but no O-Tay pictures...

Here is my Trout. Caught at Lacamas Lake 9/22/07. Watch this space for more entries.
Here is my Panfish, a small, but I am sure tasty Perch from the slough at Catapillar Island

X Trout
X Panfish
Bass
Catfish
Carp

I am trying for the bass this Saturday with the advice of cavdad45, GJorgy, Keith and islandbass.
I have no idea where I am going to find a carp or a catfish...I have always avoided them.

You guys better hurry...

I'm going to QFC this afternoon with my camera. I think they have all 5 species right there on ice. Yes...I will be practicing C&R (that way I don't have to pay for them) LOL

I'm in. Very cool "Fishin"

I'm looking forward to seeing how this one turns out.

Put me down for another plaque to the winner. I've got a good one in mind for this one.

Sweet! The way the winners at the bbq reacted when they received your last ones, I know someone is going to really like your hand made plaque up on their wall for winning this contest.
They are awesome! I wish I got one at the bbq. #-o
If you get it done post a pic up and show everyone what they could win. In fact if you think about it, as your making it take some pics and show the process, time and detail you put into it.
Thanks Jon, your the man.

The contest has just gotten hotter with bassackwards adding to the already amazing prizes, a hand made plaque.

OK, now I am REALLY in! My 1st plaque is looking pretty lonely, another one would really be sweet! bassackwards if you are in need of supplies, pm me. I would be happy to help hunt them down.

Thanks for the offer Gringo. The idea I have right now involves a lot of hand painting w/ a swist of course. I'll let you know. If I see the budget getting sideways, I'll PM you for help.

So are you saying I should go ahead and burn your name on this one??? I like the confidence. Strike fear into the competition :rambo:
