Thanks brother. I have already learned more about outboard motors than I ever knew before and I love learning that kind of stuff!mav186 wrote:Nicely done Reign...enjoy!

Congrats rein! I've just got a 12' foot aluminum, but the first time I took it out on the lake, it sure felt good! Many a good time ahead I'm sure.

Check out Meyers Laker 14. It's a 14' lake boat that can handle 4 people. The boat only weighs 125lbs. Very easy tow. I picked it up from from www.castlecraft.com.
It's wonderful. When the boat launch is packed, my 13yr old, and 16yr old simply lift the boat off the trailer and carry to the water and chuckle. It works for lakes that has limited launch or no launch.
I'm so happy with it.

One more note. The operating cost of the Meyers Laker 14 is less because you don't have to license a boat that is less than 15' and less than 10hp motor - the boat takes up to 10hp. This was the cheapest boat ( purhcase and operating code ) that I could find that allowed for 4 people onboard. Hands down.

Got all the kinks worked out. Cruised all the way up and down Lake Sammamish just because I have always wanted. A little cold and fair amount of spray, but she handled like a champ. Cruised at between 15 and 16mph wide open, hit 18 a couple times. She and I are going to have a lot of good times. Thanks to everyone for all their help. I will post another 2 year long string when I get ready to upgrade someday, but I'm happy for now. :bounce:
