FF, now I've seen enough background pics to figure out where you're at up there. It's safe from me though as I only fish C&R up there for the big white springs.

Wolverine: Yea i figured the rocks in the back would give it away to anyone who has been up there. This hole has been amazing for steelhead. Maybe ill see you up during king season!

Cudaman: Thats a really nice looking fish, clean with those nice steelhead colors. Not gonna lie you beat me today, all i got was this small hatchery i released early in the morning. It was slow today for sure.

6 or 7 pound hatchery released. nothing else all day, Akochman lost a nice one on a jump tho.

Thursday fished the cowlitz in a sled. Water was being messed with after all the huge downpour rain, but they happened to drop it from 10000 to 7000 they day we went, and it didnt rise back till the afternoon. Between me and Akochman, ended up hooking 9 steelhead and getting only 5 to the boat. Still a good day. A lot of others were doing really well also. Biggest buck i got below is 15.5lbs, then my big hen was 13.5 and akockmans hen was 11. The rest were little bucks. Nice bright big fish that day.

Also fished the vedder again. Hooked 4 fish in an afternoon. Landed 2. Had a birds nest and hooked a 15 plus pounder and couldnt set the hook. Came off after 3 jumps while i was un tieing the knot!!! Anyways, the one in the dark was last cast and nobody around to take a pic. It was about 12lbs, the other one was a nice 8 pound hatchery. Hit the 45 steelhead of the season mark with that last cast fish!

Fishen freak, you're driving me crazy with these Vedder steel. I wish I could get up there just once and you're bringing home the pixels left and right! Honestly though, keep up the good work, I wish I were there, but it's great to see your dedication.

You should definitely try it sometime, if you cant come up enough to make the year license worth it, at least try a daily license a few times. Theres a lot of fish around in the vedder. Im going again tomorrow, but dont expect any pics this time, river is running very very high and dirty...[thumbdn]

Hmmmmm scratch that comment about the high water. The fish were thick! first trip on new april license, and the river was a ghost town. Only a few people. Had my favorite drift to myself and went 6 for 9 today! I was alone so i only managed 4 pics on the ground on the shore, check it out. Smaller fish today, all between 6 and 12. It was nonstop action in the steelhead world! 5 feet off of shore max in the dirty high water, they were hugging the shore.

Hmmmmm guess what i did today... Hooked 6, landed 4 in the vedder. This rain brought a huge run of late small hatcheries in. all 6-10 pounds. I was alone again, pics are on the ground. Lost the big one, 12 or so hatch hen. i needed the eggs bad. Ended up keeping the SUPER CHROME bleeding hen below, got a few eggs i guess. Its really amazing up there right now, must have seen 30 fish caught in 3 drifts.

Nice fishing Freak. When I was in WWSC we fished the Vedder quite alot. Nice river for king and coho action.
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.
