Good guesses, all within reason. I didn't tape it out, but should have it was long and fat BOTH nice big shoulders and a heavy mean head. 13 lbs on the scale :rambo: Nice fish Jens.

Alright boys here a pig for you. I caught this steelhead today on the vedder. IT IS A PIG. Could have won the derby with it if i had entered. THis fish faught for a good 10 minutes. I finally got a look at him, and saw, to my disbelief, that its a hatchery! Not only is it my first keeper in the vedder all year, but it turned out to be a 39 inch, 19 girth buck. THATS AN 18.1 pounder. Weighed it later after it bled out and lost moisture and was just under 18 pounds. My personal best and a great fish. Check the fish out below, and what my hook looked like when i pulled it from his mouth. Too bad i was entered in the derby, would be winning 5000$ on the 31st. Oh and by the way, i released a 14 or bigger pound hen native about a half hour before this, had the hole to myself and one other, the bite was on.

Hell if I caught a fish like that it might be off to be mounted. Nice Oregon 20.

I wish I had the time you do fishenfreak. I got out today for the first time in over a month, and only had one hookup. I lost it in the rapids. And I was still happy about it. It was nice, there were some fresh fish in the Cow at blue creek, the guy right below me caught two in three casts, one of which was a PIG 17 pounder. A guy just coming in at the launch caught 8 for the whole boat. There was enough fish to make it a good day at Reiter, but the regular guys were complaining of it being slow. Some dude up top had a springer. I'm getting the itch again, it's gonna turn into a fever by the end of the month and I'll be up at 4:30 every morning wanting to drive somewhere fishy.
