Fish-N-Fool lures is lookimg for sales reps in Western & Central Washington

Post by Fish-N-Fool » Fri Mar 11, 2011 3:47 pm

Hi;
My name is Rick Lawrence and I am the owner of Fish-N-Fool Lures a small soft plastics bass lure manufacturing company. I have been a poster/ reader here for some time. I'm also planing to sponsor a unique bass fishing tournament here at WL.com this spring.
I need sales reps/prostaff in all of the major markets in western and central Washington. I'm looking for some successful tournament fishermen that hopefully already has some good contacts in the tackle retail world.
I'm looking for experienced anglers with a good knowledge of bass lures, has an outgoing personality and is well spoken. I currently have no sales reps in this part of Washington so this is a ground floor opportunity for the right person. If you know a lot of people in the fishing world this could be a great deal for you and us both.
If you are interested in finding out more about this position email me at;

Do you have a website where we could take a look at what you are making? One thing to consider is to make arrangments to stop by some club meetings with some samples of your goods, let folks see what you have.

You take the part of his email fnflures.com and go there.

Fish-N-Fool, is your website currently updated on what you have available? At least 3-4 of the pages I looked at said "Unnavailable at this time" Thanks for putting up the link, Toni. I will keep looking for it to update.

Quadfather, when I decided to go from pouring just a few baits in my shop to being able to pour 12,000 baits a day, I had to make some sacrifices. I had to pick just my best selling lures to go into production with, as every color and every mold for the different baits costs thousands of dollars. It cost me $2500 to add just 1 more color, so I put all the money I had into my best baits the 5" and 6" Sink-N-Fool baits and mass produce these. Once I get sales up I hope to bring back some of the other baits and sizes I used to sell. But for now that is on the back burner. Once this starts to take off I have a bunch of other baits I hope to market as well. I have a unique line of spinner-baits and buzz-baits, a swim jig, a 1 of a kind jig trailer, and a floating mouse bait that I just love.
I know i could go over seas and get my products made at a fraction of the cost I pay now, but i just wont do that. That's why I'm proud to put "AMERICAN MADE" on every package.

Just checked out the site. Well done! Very nice that you added tips and info on bass fishing as well. Baits look very good also. I'm thinkin' I might buy some and take them to my next club meeting, put some in the raffle box. I prefer supporting companies such as yours as opposed to the big corporate machine.

Ditto. We obviously have some bigger name sponsors but it's more fun finding the local guys and giving them an opportunity to promote their products since we started from the ground up also.

Meeks I'm only looking for guys that are willing to do both sales rep and prostaff combined. If you are willing to do both, I need someone in Cali. as I have no one in that area yet. I have Spokane/ CDA already covered so if you still interested shoot me an email to Rick@fnflures.com and I will give you more info.

If you want to make an order if you send me a note with it I will give you a good deal. To get baits into your club raffle, I would send you a free pack for every 2 packs you buy.
Tnx for the nice comments about the site also.

Rick, are you currently marketing your 10" baits for Calico Bass, particularly in Southern California? These would be perfect around the kelp and there is a good market for these types of Calico lures in that region.

I just mailed you off a bunch of stuff, more even then I said I was going to. I also sent a bunch of Business cards for you to hand out at your next club meeting. Looking forward to hearing back from you guys on how you did on them.

I can only make the 10" bait in VERY small quantities, So there is no way I can stock even one store with them. I have to hand pour each one one at a time and it is not cost effective at this time. I know they work great as I have had guys fishing them in the Cali. Delta for Striper and they were killing them, catching a bunch over 20 pounds.
I fish them for Pike up here also and did very well on them last year. I have got a bunch of monster Green Bass on them too, but it would take another 6 grand to get molds made and pour the baits, that I don't have. So if you want to foot the bill I'd be happy to send you all you want, free!! lol

I'm thinking of ordering some, I know more about a night crawler than I do a Gary Yamamoto! LOL My best day bass fishing was on a spinner bait in the Seeps 20-25 years ago. Ice fishing with a friend from Colville this winter, he mentioned the Yamamoto and how well he does with it. Your worm sounds like it is even better! Any hoo, heading to the Flambeau River in WI to visit my daughters this summer. I might get some fishing in, LOL, smallmouth fishing is supposed to be good! What would you reccomend for a "starter" pak to target these river smallmouth?

Best of luck Rick! Seen your posts, but didn't realize you were doing manufactoring.

Can't help you with the Sales Reps or Pro's, but I'll figure out some way to support you!

Sounds great! I'm axious to try 'em out on some prespawn bass, and I'm bettin' they'll do well pitched onto beds during the spawn. I'm headed to Falcon lake this summer, I'll take some along and see what them big ol' Texas bass think of 'em.
