Shame on you guys. Bad fin clips happen all the time. If you've ever fished the tilton you'll see it firsthand, all those trout grow back a scar and sometimes even a fin, but they're obviously hatchery fish. Why you gotta go and point fingers and denigrate each other? Being gruff and abrasive is a quality that all men treasure, but there comes a point when you're just plain rude and mean spirited. I looked at jens fish and it's obviously a scarred lump, I saw the other pictures as well. And even if it was a wild fish, wild retention will be open on many Washington rivers soon, so bully for them. I don't care how you fish or what you fish for, just stop being rude to eachother, because sport fishing has enough enemies as it is, the last thing we need to do is rub each other the wrong way because we hide behing an electronic veil that allows us to be mean to each other without real consequences.

I'm going out on Sunday - I keep checking the river forecasts and they keep drastically changing. Think I will stop looking now and just be surprised when I get there!

as long as it's not a flood I don't care usuallly. When I'm going to a spot I know well, I know where to catch fish when it's high, when it's low. They're always out there, lurkin, just waitin' for their cheeseburger. Just don't forget to bring the cheese!

Where is a good spot on the skook? Sounds like there is a lot of action here.

I'm not givin away my secret spot but there are tons of access points. Most folks go to the top by the dam where all of the fish pool up. There is about five or six miles of bank access from the top of the dam down full of excellent holding water. I was there today, I forgot my camera, so did my pops. We hooked into some silvers and there were steelhead still lounging around. Your best bet is to elbow your way in at the hole at the top by the cliff or to move around and cover lots of water. They like eggs, I'd throw eggs and a bobber. I don't, because I hate bobber fishing, but most guys don't object to it and there's no question as to the effectiveness of it at the skookumchuck. There sis access all the way from tenino through to centralia at the mouth. Just look at google maps or your gps and you will see how much there actually is.

That stretch of river looks familliar. Nice chromer. I love when they look so brite like that. Nice fish. The Cowlitz from now through Springer season. The Skook does sound tempting.

Hey Jens, I know that hole. On the 30th of jan, were you packed like sardines with 4 in a glass drift boat? I think we hop-scotched with you that day. I was on the sticks with 3 in a white Fish Rite.
