~Men and fish are alike. They both get into trouble when they open their mouths.

Hey Pooh, I would definitley think that as well by looking at the handle, But it is a 10'6, 8-12, 3/8-3/4 WS106MC. On the back it says OUTDOOR OUTFITTERS

Is it a custom rod? Ive never seen that handle on any other rod other then there bass rods. I tried to look up that number and I didnt get any results.

Hah, its no wonder you broke that on a king with a 8-12 lb rating. Like fishing for sturgeon with a trout pole.

I think before my days are done,
I want to be a fisherman."

I catch kings with an 8-12lb rating. Brought in a 24lb king with it even. In fact I brought in many over 20lb on it. Never broke it. Funny thing was it had a loose reel seat when I bought the rod. One reason I got a cert pro for around 90 bucks. But they wouldnt exchange it just repair. Well needless to say I finally got it repaired so Id have it through the thick of winter steel. I do love my rod. We have a gr8 connection lol.
More fish please!

I dont think it is custom, I just picked it up at wholesale sports, the handle is definitley something that should be on a bass stick tho
