The Cedar I believe is closed to reg gear. Its supposed to be Fly fishing only for anytime of year. Tageting fish out of the Cedar is wrong.Plus its catch and release only.Should be careful what pics you show of snagging on the Cedar.
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

Who was snagging on the Cedar? Both fish I saw were caught incodently in Lake Wa. and released.

Yah they were at the MOUTH of the cedar, meaning OUT IN Lake Washington. Incidental bycatch while trolling for trout, caught, photoed and released without even putting it in the net..... so I guess we both DID follow the rules

LOL! So I was browsing my facebook account, and some chick had posted up pictures of fish she recently caught out of Lake Stevens.... I would like to NOMINATE her for boot of the year with this kokanee she caught and KEPT.... I'll bet it was about as good to eat as a stick of butter wrapped in colegate toothpaste.

This pic of a dirty boot was off of www.fishwithjd.com, he has a smoker of the year contest. But I thought I'd share it anyways. The boot is dropping the money all over his pants and he's smiling :-&

I doubt that fish is alive, looks like he picked it up off the bank.

Would it be releasing it's seed if dead? I dont know odds and ends enough to say I'm an expert about salmon physiology, but it doesnt seem possible if it its dead. Looks like he bled it out too, there's blood on his left hand glove. That could be from another fish, but just pointing that out.

It is pretty common for adult fish to retain 10-20% of their roe/milt after spawning, it just gets trapped inside the cavity of the body. When you pick them up when they are dead on the bank they usually still spew out a handful of eggs or a good shot of gizz juice.
