RNT does make an affordable line of calls that sound like a duck. http://www.rntcalls.com/products/items.aspx?id=11
or you can check out Buck Gardner and Primus calls.

Check out cabelas.. They have a good selection and you can check out the reviews from what others have said.

The three main calls that I use are RNT Timbre (about $120), Primos Yo' Sista (about $10-$15), and Primos P.H.A.T. Lady (about $10-$15). All these are single reed. I prefer a single reed over double because the doubles gum up with moisture to easy. The high quality RNT I have is by far my best call but I also really like my cheap Primos calls. From my experience as far as the cheap brands/calls go Primos is the best, very crisp sound both drake and hen. My Yo' Sista has to be close to 10 years old or so and is still going strong. I have other calls also but only use them as backups. Also a cheap diver whistle/call is a good thing to add to the arsonal (usually about $5-$10).

I also use the P.H.A.T. Lady call...it's great for the price. I also like the Illinos River calls... formerly OLT Calls. I like the tone to wooden calls more, but then again you have to deal with moisture and freezing more often than plastic/ acrylic. Another one to try out is the Buck Gardner line. Very affordable and easy to tune to your preferences...
