No question, FM. Every bass is fun. I was just giving you a little friendly ribbing. Great job on your first jig fish. It will be the first of many. You can catch big bass on smaller jigs too. It's just a matter of selecting the right jig for the conditions. No doubt you'll dial in that element in no time. Have fun with the swimbaits. WARNING: They're addictive, especially after you nail your first swimbait monster. You won't want to put them down.

With Tag's advice I hope you'll take it to heart BigDog. With as much time as you spend on the water FM, I could see you having a couple 7's an 8 or 9 and at least one 10lber by now. It's just taking that time and breaking it down into quality hawg hunting time. Don't get me wrong, I love tying on to bass every time I'm out. And I don't have a problem doing it. But now, as the angler you have become, your goal when you look at that body of water should be, where is the biggest fish that swims in this lake? Where is she? How can I catch her? What would it take to hook into multiple trophy bass at any given time and condition? I think you have it in you, it will just take a little different approach to achieve this goal. Let me say this, if I had the amount of time you do on the water, I can guarantee I would know what and where each big fish in any given lake that I fished was doing at every certain time and condintion. It would just take me fishing the right bait and the right time and presenting it at the right angle. Don't get me wrong, we all love seeing you post up these amazing fish. You have made this thread this year. But there is something to be said about guys like Tag (on hold this year), JWerner, Trent, Cman, BucketmouthCatcher and BMD. Who can go out and tune in on the big fish. But what do I know, I only catch dinks and throw pink swimbaits. :geek: I'm sure Tag's words are as good as gold to you but if you ever want to invite a brutha out to your neck of the woods or need any word of encouragement or help, let me know. Shoot, if you wanted you could come out here to the Pennisula (place to stay for the night) and we could hunt some pigs in these waters.
I normally don't post in Trophy Board Threads because I think the pictures should speak for themselves and congrats could be done over PM's to not inundate a Picture only Thread, but I felt a pat on the back and slap on the butt was necassary.
Or you know, you could just keep listening to Dez and keep at what your doing. He's got you this far. [razz]

Thanks man for the kind words man
And u always have an invite to come out here and fish my local lakes.
And maybe later this year or next year ill make it to yours.

As of late i have decided on the local lake i fish alot to only concentrate on the bigger largies by throwing the bigger worms and fishing jigs.
i am more of a smallie guy so ive been working on them alot more this year than i have largies.
But i want those big pig largies and i know some spots on some lakes that hold em.
But believe me now that i have somewhat picked up jig fishing the hawgs may come
Its only gonna be a matter of time. Ive talked to tag alot and fished with cman as well and they are both good at those hawg fish and there advice is great.
Im sure they will come to me.
Just more time on the water.
But believe me i will be concentrating on getting those 6+ lb fish more.
Im still looking for the elusive 5lb smallie.
and hoping to break 8lbs on a largie.

Way too go FM !! I think your doing just fine bro , You are putting in the time & work on "many" different baits that are steady producers for ya ..
Yeah guys want too see post nothing but hawgs on here and use certain baits etc .. Well take it from a tourney angler when i say that knowing how too catch five 3lb LMB or Smallies on any giving lake on any day will take waaaay futher in the bass game !
Some of those cali guys (HINT~F4LIFE~HINT ) can get a little hollywood on ya but dont worry about them , Im willing too bet 50 cupcakes that you can out fish them 5:1 on washington anytime ... :-& "annnyyytimme" :pl: ...

Good to see the tips paying off ! :salut:

4.1 On potholes this past saturday !

Here's some Peacock Bass from Hawaii,..the size wasn't all that impressive but not 2 many Anglers can say they have caught a Peacock Bass,..Bass were caught on light tackle and very agressive,..all Top Water on Tiny Senkos,..we were Guided by Chris Wright of www.hawaiibassfishing.com great angler and good people! Just an FYI,..Chris's dad is Stan Wright who Hosted a popular fishing show entitled "Let's Go Fishing" and is still aired today!

Hawaii was a BLAST,..the Guide knew his stuff and put us on some fish right away,..17 different species of fish in Lake Wilson and it's Hawaii's only Fresh Water Lake,..as far as the Bass go,..present were SMB~LMB~Peacock,..we nabbed some LMB but they weren't pic worthy,..I was hoping for a little more size for the Peacock but I took what I could get,..lol,..BF landed about 10 fish in all 2 my 6,..he was on fire,..lol,..anyways if anyone is headed to Hawaii in the future hit me up and I'll give you "Da~Kine" on what sites 2 see that are a must! Thanks BBD/kzoo!
