RIP Mr. Steinbrenner
RIP Mr. Steinbrenner
Sad day in sports today as George Steinbrenner passed away after suffering a heart attack last night. Like em or hate em, he built one of the greatest sports franchises in the world. Ruled his team with an iron fist and still had the draw to bring some of the sports largest figures to his team. In sports, the name Steinbrenner is legendary.
RIP and may the Yankee's bring one more home this year in your honor:salut: !

As I agree with you he is and will be a legend and the name means so many things with what he has done with the yanks I do not care to see them win another championship for as long as I`m still here. I know those are strong words but that`s how I feel about the yanks.

However, I could never root for the Yankess.

LOL to the Walakes family. I knew when I posted this one that most all of you would be kind in your words about the passing but, would also respectfully shoot down my hope of a championship season this year for the Yanks.

Fortunately you for you, my rooting interests rarely have an effect on championships. I have lived in Washington all my life and only have the 1979 NBA championship and the 1991 NCCAA Football Championship to show for it.
